Day 1 – Paper Airplane Contest

Let the kids fold a paper airplane and decorate it with crayons. Then see who’s airplane can fly the furthest. Make it more of a challenge by adding a paperclip to the tip of the plane.

Day 2 – 10 Minute Lego Challenge

Give the kids a bin of lego pieces and give them 10 minutes to create something. When 10 minutes is up have them show you what they made. To make it more of a challenge give them a topic of what to create. For instance a building, motor vehicle, zoo, or village.

Day 3 – Board Game Marathon

Break out the board games and let each kid pick a game they want to play. Make some popcorn and hang out together playing games.

Day 4 – Make an Obstacle Course

Let the kids create an obstacle course to run through. You’ll be amazed at how much time they spend creating it and remaking it over and over.

Day 5 – Play Hot Lava

To play Hot Lava kids need to get from one side of the room to the other without touching the ground or Hot Lava. Let them throw some pillows or items around the house to hop from place to place. Just like the obstacle course, they can keep changing up the route to get to the other side of the room.

Day 6 – Do a Puzzle Together

Mad Libs is a game where certain words are left out of a story and kids need to fill it in without knowing the content. The funny part is reading it back and seeing what the answers are.

To play at home have the kids write a story leaving out a word in each sentence. Then read it to their siblings to add in words. If the kid are small then have the parents write the story.

Day 11 – Do a Science Experiment

Day 12 – Drawing Challenge

Challenge the kids to do Shadow Art with their favorite toys. This is a fun outdoor art activity where the kids trace the shadows of their favorite toys in sidewalk chalk or on paper. Get some Shadow Art Ideas.

Day 13 – Bowling

Take some empty water bottles and line them up like bowling pins. Use a soft ball you have at home as your bowling ball. Let the kids try to knock down the bowling pins.

Day 14 – Make Up A Dance

Challenge the kids to pick a song and make up a dance to it. If the kids are older they can create something for Tik Tok.

Day 15 – Dress Up as Your Favorite Super Hero

If you have costumes at home dress up and let the kids run around and pretend to be Super Heroes. If you don’t have a costume pin a pillow slip to the back of their shirt to make a cape.

Day 16 – Build A Fort

Let the kids use blankets, couches, and chairs to build a cool fort. After their done playing let them read books in their fort.
