50+ Best Clementine Recipes (2024)

You knowthat smell when you press your thumb nail into a fresh clementine and a small puff of citrus mist comes out? I love that smell! It’s like a little whiff of goodness and it totally reminds me of Christmas. Do clementines remind you of Christmas too? I always wait for the boxes of clementines to show up at the grocery store each year and then I end up buying a box every week until they go out of season.

Afew years ago my husband and I were in Sears and there was some gadget demonstration going on where they gave us free plastic orange peelers. I’m pretty sure it was before we had kids? So we waited around for about half an hour so we could get our free orange peeler.Looking back, the thought of waiting around so long for such a simple kitchen gadget seems crazy, but you know what? I used that orange peeler for YEARS on my clementines. (And well, I guess I am a sucker for kitchen gadgets…)

Poke it in the peel, pull it off and you don’t have to get your nails all orangey! It was exactly like the peeler in this set on Amazon here. I kept it in my lunch bag for years! Eventually the little plastic piece that you jab into the peel got eaten away by the citrus acid and it broke off. And now I’m stuck peeling my clementines (plus the clementines for my 3 kids) by hand again. *sigh* And the Sears near us closed. Go figure.

You know I’m not overly adventurous in the baking department. So my relationship with clementines pretty much involves buying a box of clementines, peeling three (or ten) clementines a dayuntil the box is empty, getting a rush of excitement if it’s easy to peel (or a cloud of irritation if it’s difficult to peel or has seeds in it), and simply eating the clementines. The end.

But take a look at allthe AMAZING things you can make with fresh clementines. Seriously. Those Chocolate Covered Salted Clementines? Holy deliciousness!!

I seriously need to step it up a notch with my use of clementines because these clementine recipes look soooooo good! I don’t even know where to start. But I’m thinking I need to try the clementine cake… Doesn’t it seem like everyone should try clementine cake at least once in their life? And then those clementine cranberry bars. Mmmmm…
