Always a good experience here with a great staff and a beautiful location. Kate R has been doing my hair for a few years now and she is amazing! She helped me get back into blonde after dying it brunette last year. It's always healthy and the perfect tone after she does it. Thank you Kate! Lynn at the front desk was also so kind and friendly. Love this salon

Gianni has been doing my hair color and cut since another salon did a color on my hair i was really unhappy with. He listens and gets it just right. I am not a salon lover but i feel comfortable here. I have curly hair so it is more challenging but he makes it look good.

The disappointment is real. I went in last Saturday for a root touchup with Bill. When I got there I had to fill out a little form, not a big deal. Bill brought me to his station. I completed the form while he mixed the color. But he left me holding the clipboard and my purse the whole time he applied the color. The color application itself was very messy, he literally colored over one of my ears, got color all across my forehead and poked me in the eye leaving color on the outer corner. He also dropped some color on my arm and hand. When he was finished applying he did wipe some color off my eye corner and ear. He finally took the clipboard after but still left me holding my purse, his station was messy so nowhere to put in and the floor had hair and some color on it so that wasn't an option. When it came time to rinse, I got up and put my purse in my chair and followed to the hair washing station. It was kinda uncomfortable with my feet dangling in the partially laidback position, which another woman noticed, and brought the foot stool over for me to comfortably rest my feet on. Then when we went back to his station I had to put my purse back in my lap. Then he noticed he left shampoo in my hair even after conditioning. Back to the washing station, leaving my purse in the chair. I was asked if I wanted a blow dry. Well, yes! How else would I know if the color is good! It looks slightly different wet so I said yes. Bill seemed uncomfortable doing my hair. Like he didn't know how to blow dry. The lighting isn't so great at his station so I couldn't see all the left over hair dye yet! But I could immediately tell my hair was a frizzy mess. Turns out they charge extra for blow dry! Never heard of this, maybe they should warm new clients! I went to pay but he stayed up there so I didn't say anything. I went home to further investigate. Not only was I frizzy but there was so much hair dye on my ears, forehead and neck. Yet, somehow had gray hairs along my hairline! How with all that hair dry! I immediately called, it was maybe 10-15 min after I left. The woman who answered was nice and apologetic. She offered to come right back and fix but I had an appointment or I wouldn't have left unhappy in the first place. She said she would speak to the owner and they would get back to me. Its been a week and nothing. They clearly do not care about customer satisfaction, or quality work. I paid $95 to still have gray hair. Never again.

I love the staff at Sculptures Salon in Newington, CT. It is well worth the trip down from MA. My hair is difficult to color but I have never been disappointed with the results. Kate is an expert!
