Your: POV

After around 18 years of living with my parents, I finally moved out to live on my own! At first, it was scary.. oh, who am I kidding? It's still scary at times. But at least I can do what I want.

Before I could even think about moving out to the forest, I had to find a good job and save up for a cabin to live in permanently and, of course, a job there too. Around a year of working, I saved enough to have my own house.

"Do you really have to leave? I mean.. this is the town you've always lived in, and we won't be able to see you as much. Oh! And what if you get eaten by a bear? You aren't used to the forest, honey." My mother worries gently, holding both of my hands in her own. I softly sigh, gently squeezing her hands. Behind me is my truck, light blue and a little rusted, but it gets the job done. All of my bags are thrown in the trunk with a black tarp protecting them if they rain. "Mom, I'm sure I'll be fine.. I'll call you if anything goes wrong, okay?" I gently comfort then smirk, shuffling my feet i accidentally kick some of the gravel up. "And even if a bear tried to get me or my food.. I'd sacrifice myself for my food." I joke a little, making my mom roll her eyes.

"Where's Dad?" I ask, sighing a little, I already knew the answer. "Ah.. He's at work." My mother softly says her brows furrowing. "It's fine. I should get going now anyway. I have a long drive ahead of me." I slightly groan. This was probably going to be the longest I've ever driven without making any stops.. or trying not to make any stops. My mother nods, letting go of my hands and waving me goodbye as I walk over to my truck and climb into the drivers seat. 12 hours. That's how long I have to drive.

As I drive, I gently turn on the radio knob to some classic rock and gently tap my fingers against the steering wheel along with the beat. I've already driven around 6 hours and just started to enter the forest. As I passed a few green trees, they started to double in number as I drove. My radio started to cut out from how many trees surround me. Large light gray clouds overcast above me, growing darker and rumbling with thunder. I softly hum as rain starts to pitter patterns against the windshield and slides down the glass. It collects on the bottom only to be blown away by the wind of the highway.

"This is exactly what I wanted.." I cheerfully account to myself.

~Time Skip 6 More Hours Later~

Finally, after pretty much driving all day, I make it to the little town in the middle of the forest. I look over at the little sign beside the road that welcomes me into the town. "Welcome to Precipice Falls!" Even the name made my soul feel at ease.

Now, driving my car slowly into a gas station, I park it and hop out to quickly refill it with gas so I can get to my house.. that I bought online. I know, not exactly the best way to buy a house, but it's what I had to do.

(Idk if you can buy a house at 19, but let's pretend you can if you can't. lol.)

Grabbing the fuel pump handle, I squeeze it for a few times, then plug it into my cars gas tank. Messing with the machine, I put in how many gallons I need, pay, and then wait as it fills up my truck. "I should go get a snack." I mumble, shoving my hands in my pockets. I walk away from my truck and towards the gas station doors. As the doors slide open, I get hit with the signature smell of a gas station, the smell of cleaning products, and a small smell of snacks mixing with it.

Going down the chip isle, I grab my favorite chips and then walk over to the cold drinks, trying to figure out which one I want. Studying the clear fridges lined up in a row, I get a whiff of cigarette smoke, making me look over to my side. Seeing a male with smooth but fluffy dark brown hair, sideburns, and light brown eyes. Compared to me, he was a lot bigger and more bulky than me. He turns to me and sharply glares at me like to say "stop f*cking staring at me." I nervously smile at him and quickly open the fridge to grab my drink.

'Wow. He was rude. Or was he? I was staring at him.'

Getting to the front counter, I quickly pay and jog to my truck. I'm ready to get to my house.. and later, I'll probably have to go and get groceries. When will this day end.

~Time Skip~

After around an hour later, I got the keys for my house and got to go into my little cabin. Was it a little bigger than I needed? Yes. Did I care? No. Was it even cooler? Of course.

The cabin had two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, and a dining room. It's all I needed. Sighing, I studied the front of my cabin. I was still in my car, just taking a moment to take everything in. I watch as water drips off of the ends of the pine needles of the trees and listening to the birds that sing outside of my truck. Slowly getting out of my truck, I take time to stretch my muscles and pop some of the tense joints in my body. At this point, it was starting to get dark, which meant the grocery store would probably be closed when I finished unloading all of my bags plus a mattress and putting them into the cabin.

Striding over to the front door, I unlock the door and turn the door knob, pushing the door open, i take a step inside and sigh. I can smell the wood and dust. I studied the inside. It was exactly what I wanted. The wood was still a light brown, and it had a lot of space. It already felt like home. Right now, it was bare, but I knew when I started to get everything inside, it would make it look a lot better. Shutting the door behind me, I walk deeper into the cabin, I walk into the kitchen and sigh, seeing the table absolutely caked in dust. I'll have to clean that tomorrow.

Going into the bedrooms one is smaller than the and it has a small window that has a giant tree blocking the view of the rest of the forest and a extremely small closet, the other room had a walk in closet and a giant window the showed numerous trees and you could even see the sky. I decided to pick the one with the biggest window that overlooks the most trees. Being in the bedroom with the largest i stare out of the large trees in silence. It almost seemed like the trees were tinted with a little bit of blue. It only made them look more breathtaking and divine. Ripping my gaze off of the scenery, I study the dirt and some mysterious stains on the wood underneath me. "I should clean this room before I decide to sleep in here." I whisper to myself, bending down and swiping the dirt off of the ground with my index finger.
