January is Unchain a Dog Month, a time when we should increase our awareness of the struggles of dogs who are kept tied up outside in the cold. Dogs are entitled to warmth, comfort, and companionship, just like any other family member. Bringing them inside is the kindest and safest thing we can do for them. There are many ways you can help this month, including talking to your neighbors who keep their dogs tied outside. Explain the dangers of exposing dogs to cold weather and offer resources. If your neighbors are receptive, you can reach out to Barrio Dogs, and we will do our best to provide care for their dogs.Another way to help is by advocating for change. Contact your local legislators and animal welfare organizations such as Texas Humane Legislation Network (THLN) and express your support for stricter laws against chaining dogs and promoting responsible pet ownership. You can also donate, volunteer or foster dogs that have been neglected or abused by organizations that are working to rescue and rehome them. Lastly, you can spread awareness on social media by sharing information about Unchain a Dog Month and the importance of bringing dogs inside.Let us all work together to achieve a world where dogs are treated with the respect, kindness, and love they deserve. Don't forget to use the hashtags #NoMoreChains, #UnchainADog, #FreeThePaws, #DogsDeserveBetter, #BringThemInside, #EndChainingNow, #Compassion4Canines, and #WarmthForWoofers when sharing your posts.#BarrioDogs

These are just the #cats in my general babysitting area. There are 237 kitten ads as well. The site is updated every 15 minutes, so there will be more -- and there will be less. Cats and #kittens sit in shelters for months and sometimes years without being adopted, but they disappear from Craigslist in hours. Why? https://chng.it/pLjxqmhXPPAs I said in January 2022 https://lnkd.in/gvpaKP5A, this is animal #trafficking. The ASPCA, HSUS and Best Friends have shown they don't care: https://lnkd.in/gBNd2mWN. Do you? How to help:- Stop donating to heathens who use photos and videos of suffering animals to make money https://lnkd.in/g_5WqfBr- Donate to your spay/neuter clinic- If you enjoy #marketing, start a spay/neuter drive in your community and invite local #business owners to donate - Donate cat food, dog food and cat litter to your local pet pantry and ADVERTISE that pet pantry from your #socialmedia account- Search Google News for: animal cruelty, animal cruelty cat killed, arrested for animal cruelty video OR dogfighting arrest and warn people about what happens to cats, kittens, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and other animals that are handed to strangers. The ASPCA has long used the slogan "We are their voice," but you won't find a single post, tweet or webpage warning people that dogfighting has increased across the country and/or that dogfighters kill cats and kittens. “Just leave the baby on the street, where you found her.” What if you found a crying human infant alone on the sidewalk and this was what a 911 operator told you to do? It would be unthinkable, right? Yet this is what some animal shelters are instructing people to do if they find kittens outdoors—to leave them there. Some groups are even pushing this dangerous advice in newspaper opinion pieces. But leaving kittens on the streets is the opposite of what a shelter should be doing (sheltering!). It’s a death sentence for these vulnerable animals.https://lnkd.in/ggeA_vQp#people #cat #cats #catsoflinkedin #catlovers #catlove #animals #animal #animalrights #animalcare #animalfree #crueltyfree #animalhealth #saveanimals #animalrescue #takeaction #shelter #shelters #animalshelter #adopt #adoption #adoptdontshop #advocate #advocacy #activism #activist #nonprofit #nonprofitorganization #vegan #govegan #kitten #kittens #homeless #homelessness #dangerous

Millions of puppies and kittens are born on the streets each year – scavenging for food, desperate for shelter, and barely surviving. This nationwide crisis is completely preventable – and you can help. Will you raise your voice for ethical spay/neuter policies? Together we can help end the pet overpopulation crisis. In seven years, just one female cat and her offspring can result in 370,000 kittens. For one female dog, it’s 67,000 puppies in six years! Spaying and neutering are safe and routine procedures that can prevent overpopulation and shelter crowding for homeless dogs and cats. That’s why North Shore Animal League America enforces a 100% spay/neuter policy for all animals at our campus placed into homes. We also support Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Release (TNVR) programs for managed cat colonies because these efforts are our best chance at protecting dogs and cats from the suffering that results from rampant population growth. It’s our no-kill promise to never give up on an animal in need – and that includes ensuring they live a life full of dignity and love. If you agree, please add your name today.https://lnkd.in/gcqrwi2i#spayandneuter #spayneutersaveslives #SpayandNeuterAwareness #spayandneuteristhesolution #SaveTheStrays #northshoreanimalleague

Spaying and neutering can reduce the number of stray dogs on the street.A single unspayed female dog and her offspring can produce over 67,000 puppies in just six years.Unfortunately, a lot of countries can't do it.It's not down to a lack of compassion. The financial burden that makes it difficult for these shelters to operate. These unwanted litters often end up on the streets, adding to the already overwhelming number of strays. Not only do spaying and neutering programs reach the numbers, but they also help prevent the spread of diseases.Spaying and neutering are widely available, yet many people still hesitate due to cost or lack of understanding.Join us at the Power of One in raising awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering. We can help support animal rescue shelters around the world in their efforts to care for stray animals.Together, we can make a difference.#powerofone #SpayAndNeuter #StrayAnimals
